Re: Leeds Utd v Huddersfield Town Match Thread - Phillips injured, Berardi in
Had Harrison put that volley away, we'd be looking at 3 goal of the season contenders in 2 games! Alright half. Think Pablo has been off the boil, but some of our build up has been great - would love to see the Ayling offside from another angle, as he looked good to me. Another early goal and we'll ...

Re: Leeds United v West Bromwich Albion Match Thread - Bielsa names an unchanged side
Should be a red on Bamford, high foot, studs up and stopped him breaking through.

Bamford doesn't get the decisions because of his reputation, but that was definitely a foul before Phillips gave away that fk.

Re: Leeds Utd v Stoke City (Carabao Cup) Match Thread - 17 minutes highlights
Negatives Defensively we appeared fragile without a proper commanding CB in the middle in the first half. How poor was Douglas ? Was Jack Clarke on the pitch ? the £10m + fee is looking a steal Kiko's poorest game this season, arguably should have saved both goals. Both goals came in a period when ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Stoke City (Carabao Cup) Match Thread - Costa, Nketiah and Bogusz start!
I think Phillips got the nod over a recognised CB like Strujik because he can step out and play midfield as well. Glad we brought it back and although it's a shame to go out, there a lot to be taken from the comeback. I hear Stoke fans were singing "Leeds are falling apart", well falling a...

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread - Alioski Replaces Douglas
Not the best performance, but the kind of one which we would have ended up drawing or losing last year. Thought our passing was uncharacteristically poor, especially from Pablo who seemed a bit laboured all game. Defensively we look excellent and I can only think of a couple of times that they opene...

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread
I never forget players that have an impact on me, the ones I enjoy watching play for Leeds. My reaction would be same should Phillips & Pablo leave our club. I still drool over Revie's squad of players especially Bremner & Giles & then there's the likes of Strachan, Yeboah, Radebe, Beck...

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread
I'm going tonight for the first time in nearly two years and I can't wait! Injuries would be a blow, but Berardi and Shackleton coming in would be okay. Obviously Pontus will be a threat at set pieces, but I'm not too worried about Brentford really - they've scored 3 goals this season and all by Wat...

Re: Leeds Utd v Brentford Match Thread
Bees fans love Pontus & rightly so ! Read last three or four pages https://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=132192 Not bothered what they think to be honest - can we not just let this Pontus love-in lie now? Become very tedious that he gets more praise from some posters than our own ...

Re: The life of a perpetual loanee, footballs commodities
You make a good point, but lots of youngsters are also prepared to sign for clubs where they know they will only be bit players rather than stay at a smaller club for less money. I wonder what the likes of Kent and Harrison will do when their contracts expire. They probably won't expire though as t...

Re: The life of a perpetual loanee, footballs commodities
It's one of the unfortunate consequences of the money which is in the game now. These young players sign pro terms with top Premiership teams on £25,000+ p/w, with little prospect of game time behind the multi-million pound players. They have to play to develop, but if they aren't Prem standard, the...

Re: Wigan Athletic v Leeds Utd Match Thread
Same starting 11 as vs. Forest. No. No. Possibly, but he's also not better than any of the current starters. No - same story as Shack and he'll get his chance. Cooper. Clarke - No. Costa - Yes, but he'll be good from the bench (hopefully earlier). No - Pearce had fallen down the pecking order and I ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 14th Aug) Leeds cruise to victory, end of a dynasty for Dallas?
Dallas has played well since getting back into the squad and I doubt Bielsa will drop him until Ayling is fully fit, and nor should he. Once he does lose his starting berth then he'd be one of the first names on the bench for me next to Berardi - his work rate at versatility makes him a good option.

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd - Match Thread - Costa and Nketiah both start
That highlight from twitter doesn't show it, but Shackleton's movement before the first goal was brilliant - moved all the way from left wing, dragging defenders before he got the ball out right. Great through ball to Costa and an incisive cross and finish. Good to see us manage to break down a toug...
