Erm… that score for Bijol is more about replacing Struijk. Regardless of the different lens factor -The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:25 pm Perri - 8

Honestly you are so predictable at times. You may argue all day long that you weren’t impressed but when his game stats come out you will find it hard to justify.

Totally agree Bijol I thought was way better than Struijk I cannot see how Farke can drop him on last night,if farke does drop him Farke gets everything he deserves and if I was Bijol I would be evil if I was dropped on that performance last night .DDB220 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 24, 2025 9:54 pm Erm… that score for Bijol is more about replacing Struijk. Re: Player Rankings - Leeds/West Ham
Perri - 7.5 Looked composed and his long balls to DCL are providing a good outlet.
Bogle - 7 Steady but quieter than usual going forward
Gudmundsson - 7 Could have been a contender for MOTM but for the injury
Ampadu - 8 At the heart of everything.
Rodon - 8.5 What a player, leads the team by example.
Bijol - 6.5 Someone described him as clunky last night which summed up his performance but hard to judge after one game.
Aaronson - 8.5 Hope he’s earned a week’s reprieve from the stick he gets on here.
Longstaff - 7 Like a Jack Russel snapping at heels
DCL - 7 Needs a goal or two to complete his game but gave their defenders a torrid time.
Tanaka - 7.5 What an engine, he was everywhere.
Okafor - 7 Great 1st half but probably sensible to ease him back in.
Justin - 6
Harrison -5.5
Gruev - 6

Football is 90% mental, the other half is physical.
Re: Player Rankings - Leeds/West Ham
I would not suggest he is better than Struijk. They are different types of CB’s.Johnsie123 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 7:21 am Totally agree Bijol I thought was way better than Struijk I cannot see how Farke can drop him on last night,if farke does drop him Farke gets everything he deserves and if I was Bijol I would be evil if I was dropped on that performance last night .
Bijol’s first start in the prem at home against a team lacking in confidence. Ideal situation in many regards.
First start is an important consideration as he may have played within himself.
I thought he was solid and he is undoubtedly good in the air. Strength is a key attribute, he does not take prisoners - and he plays it simple which isn’t a bad thing.
It is reassuring that we have depth because there will be injuries at CB as the season progresses.

Agreed,I would like him to get a run of starts so we can see how good he actually is Brighton will be a different game for sure.DDB220 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 25, 2025 10:02 am I would not suggest he is better than Struijk. They are different types of CB’s.

Re: Player Rankings - Leeds/West Ham
Perri - 7.5 (really nice save on that bicycle kick from was it Bowen?)
Bogle - 7 (steady)
Gudmundsson - 7 (really hope his injury isn’t serious as he’s been our MVP so far this season)
Ampadu - 7.5 (better from our captain after a below average showing against Burnley)
Rodon - 8.5 (close call between him and Brendan)
Bijol - 7 (Steady start from him…hopefully a sign of good things to come)
Aaronson - 8.5 (MOM, erred on him given his near second goal…historically he’d overthink the situation and eventually lay it off late to a teammate, which would inevitably cause a board meltdown…so he has to get his due for not creating one this match)
Longstaff - 7 (steady)
DCL - 7.5 (everything but a goal…so much work)
Tanaka - 7.5 (thought we lost something when he came off)
Okafor - 7.5 (suburb first half…hoping the halftime substitution was just precautionary)
Justin - 7 (I was pretty impressed with him. I feel really good with him as our first bench option at RB/LB)
Harrison - 5.5 (so so)
Gruev - 6 (noticeable drop off from the 4 midfielders ahead of him. Smart of him taking that yellow given his minimal involvement in the team this season)
