Bowensonfire ran in Race 4 at Limerick yesterday. Trained by Gorden Elliott jockey Sam Ewing. It was favourite and the new decimal odds were 2, then it jumped to 814 and I smacked the princely sum of 50P each way and the bet was accepted.
Needless to say Bowensonfire won and it would have returned over £400
Now Bet365 say there was a mistake and real odds was 1.6 and they paid me out accordingly.
I looked into it and found they had to pay out 519K because they changed to odds after the result. What do you think of the ethics and morals of this situation?
