Certainly a valid point. Given that Farke wants ball playing centrebacks I could see Ampadu being ahead of Cresswell and Ayling, as centreback. The flexibility of signing a couple of midfielders covers us defensively as well.

Lots of options. Looking forward to seeing our starting line-up after the international break.
This may be my imagination, but it seems the new signings are mostly much bigger guys than our line-up last season. Rodon, Spence, Kamara, even Darlow. Ampadu the exception.
No Aaronson's running around, falling down, running around..... :roflmao:

Yep. Timing is perfect. Willing to bet a couple will be much leaner in 2 weeks time than they are now. Farke seems to put a lot of stock in fitness, rightfully so.

I say he’s a bit more of a box to box, Archie Gray type. Lots of balance in midfield now. Nice options there.

I've been very impressed with Ampadu's reading of the play and feel it's possibly his strongest point, now that's very valuable in DF's system at CH.

Glad for it to be that way again! I think we've improved in most, if not all positions this window, but still love to have the option run teams off the pitch whenever possible.
