9 bookings says a lot about the man in the middle for me, although Joe was fking stupid for his, others were over the top officiating.
Refereeing decisions actually DID cost us last neet, I thought he started OK but soon wanted to be the man in control, often not allowing the game to flow.

I’ll give him 1 simply because he clearly knows all the technical rules, hence most of the yellow cards, but when it comes to actually watching the game and interpreting the rules it would appear he was sick when they did that lesson at Ref School.

1/10. See me.

Got the major decisions wrong.

Normal poor officiating has returned to ER with no VAR to assist LUFC.

I made my thoughts and score known on the match thread but I’ll repeat here. The referee in the Cardiff game did a sterling job and I thought that showed promise that we’d be on a level playing field this season, for once. I didn’t see the Brum game so can’t comment on that but 3 games in and the EFL have already shown their hand with last night’s completely biased chump.

One goal that should have been disallowed for hand ball (or offside), the assist for which came from Molumby who should have been sent off in the first half. One penalty not given, which looked an obvious penalty on replay. I know refs don’t get a replay but the commentators knew it was a penalty in real time, so why didn’t he? Very weak on WB’s incessant time wasting and while 7 minutes were added at the end, most of that time consisted of WB wasting it and it should have been more like 15 minutes by todays standards. A pathetic 1/10 from me, and probably a pointer for what we’ll have to contend with for the rest of the season.

2/10. I thought most of the bookings were correct, but missed two clear handballs which majorly effected the outcome.

Spoiled what could have been a really good game, very harsh to blame him for their handball goal though. I even missed it watching the game back and I knew it had happened.

Agreed, also very harsh to blame for the penalty decision, he got that one spot on, never a penalty

We'll have to get used to this style of refereeing in the Championship I'm afraid.

It was right in front of me, and I thought no penalty straight away, not got that far watching it back to be honest.

I’ll bow to your judgement on that one

Watching live on tv I instantly thought it was a penalty and the commentators both agreed it should have been, but after having viewed the replays it was clear the defender got the last touch, and the after game analyse they all agreed the ref got it right, every replay clearly showed the defender got the last touch and a lucky touch at that but it was enough, what annoys me is the amount of folk on social media crying about that decision as if we were robbed, we were not on that occasion but were on plenty of others

Another thing about refs and time wasting which they are supposed to be cutting out, w/brom were constantly holding up play in the last 20 mins, even the keeper who made a great tipped over bar save stayed grounded holding his legs !! The ref gave him time to take the sting off our constant attacks, poor refereeing imo.
