I wonder what's plaguing him Swannie, he's definitely out of knick but i too feel he's undroppable coz as soon as you know it he's cracked a ton, i don't think anyone takes a game by the scruff of the neck like Ben does.

They're trying to play Root into form, but he might need a rest, then come back.

I think he'll keep his spot no matter what. But Malan has to be pushing for the #3 spot too.

Malan nailed on for 3
Going to be interesting to see what happens today, Will JR make a score (I think he will)? Got to play starting XI (if Roy fit)

Never looked comfortable today.

Time for Brook to strengthen his case now

Yep.

Looks like Brook has blown his final chance to stake his claim. He can't be picked now (unless Roy can't make it)

There's something troubling Joe for sure, this is the wrong time and he would do well just to hold his hand up and be honest with himself and the team, it's no huge deal it's not like we're short of players, a rest would probably do him the world of good, but the WC is on the doorstep, is he man enough to admit there's a problem for the sake of the team, coz i feel we're going in a man light, i'd keep him in the squad possibly, but i think he needs to maybe miss a game or two.

Tough call, but it does now look like they're trying to play him into some form, i hope it's not a personal matter, like i'm thinking maybe it is, coz he won't play through something like that.

I'm just reading he was dropped on 7 as well, so possibly out twice if you wanna look at it that way.

It's in India though the WC which is swaying me towards taking him, somethings not right though him getting bowled like this.

Top 3 is going to be a tough call if Roy is fit

Bairstow for sure. Then 2 from Roy, Root, Malan

Hard to leave out Malan.

A lot easier now Roy is replaced by Brooks.
Malan to open.

Got a feeling he might well do that . (today ?).
Weather not looking promising today for first Ireland match.
Surely if he plays and doesn't get runs he surely will pull out (or else why would he play v Ireland).
The fact that he's even playing shows there is a problem.
