George Chakiris.. met him a couple of time when I was very young. My uncle also did West Side Story on the London stage, my sister inherited his dance genes was auditioned and got, but ultimately turned down a place on Hot Gossip...

She was young about 18 and didn't have the confidence to travel that much.. great dancer though, even now

Yeah I’m not surprised. It was like nothing else on tv at the time. You probably wouldn’t want to watch your daughter dancing like that. But it made a lot of young lads happy unless your parents watched it with you
