Symptoms are like gout for joint pain as it crystallises in the joints. Sugar also very bad, sweetener too but for different reasons
Yeah I’ve had that. Gout.
Also seafood I think. And offal.
Oh and I’ve had a kidney stone. Unbelievable pain
Better give up the spinach I suppose

Love duck with orange sauce, but I know where you are coming from Sara, enjoy watching them in our local duck pond, so cute!

I can't eat prawns anymore as much as I love the taste of them. I'm fine with mussels/scallops, etc which I adore. Had a delicious starter in Northumberland a few weeks ago, scallops on a bed of black pudding, succulent!

Same here.
I could probably drop chicken at a push but definitely not fish. Mind you the local Sutton Hoo chicken is lovely stuff. Proper free range

Why not prawns?
Scallops are lovely. But only the hand dived ones. Those things that dredge the seabed are not good at all. Who’s this bloke who hand dives them or is that just BS

It’s a tough job. Dipping each crisp in to hot fat.
The people that do it often end up with very short fingers. King Charles couldn’t do it. Mmmm sausage fingers

Never heard of that before. Wonder if it's what caused my knee problem about five years ago... they said it was a calcinated ligament, or something.

f**k me. What can you eat.
This is linked to gout. It’s a common misconception that it’s completely alcohol related. I read something about a man with terrible joint pain especially in his knees. He had various operations. Eventually a very strict low oxalate diet made a massive difference. Trouble is his life was so boring he killed himself.
Obviously he didn’t but there needs to be a balance. I think the interesting point was the amount of needless surgery that didn’t actually work because it was a dietary problem
