After going down to ten men Leeds were on top for the last 20 minutes.

Gyabi driving us forward with McGurk, McFadden & Drameh delivering some great crosses in only for Joseph to miss yet another glorious chance.

Away to Norwich tomorrow night.... it's definitely a weaker team than the pre world cup 21's atm, destined to get weaker if we keep sending players out on loan or selling them. Though not sure anyone cares how the 21's do

2-5

Looks like Jesse ball doesnt work at kiddie level..

U21s seem to have went off the boil this season.

Then again it seems as if they hardly play

Looking at the lineup it would suggest many of the regular U21s are in tomorrow's squad. This having U21 games a day before cup games is ridiculous.

That said, there's not enough regularity in U21s fixtures and like Ian says, seems they hardly ever are playing. I think there's a fundamental problem in the design of the U21 leagues.

The home side were able to name a number of first team players for the match, with them not having a fixture over the weekend. Michael Skubala’s side was a youthful one, who would learn plenty from the challenge of facing their experienced opponents.

I'd have thought there is a market now to bring back reserve leagues.... first team squad members and aspiring 21's would have another way to catch the eye, get game fitness....

Joseph has a goal disallowed. Mcgurk seems to be terrorizing Newcastle

I just watched the highlights on YouTube. The boys were very unlucky not to win this game although our keeper had to make a one on one save late on.
Is McGurk pushing for a place on the first team bench?
