Looked funny to see the U21's walking out with Cooper, Bamford, and Ayling all at the front. When we had ringers in our cricket team, we'd usually hide them somewhere near the back.

Mid season friendly.

Next game Villa 1st Oct - Should have virtually all available bar Dallas.

No doubt some will get injured during training.
Did Bamford have a bandage on his wrist ? I think by next game if so , his body will have fallen off that arm 🤔

Maybe getting some synchronicity between the two, Summerville backheel for Perkins goal too, technically an assist. Wins back possession too and can clearly carry the ball from deep

Gyabi maybe the best passer we have at the club
Summerville the stand out performer in those highlights, the first cut back for Bamford says much about his game (Jeez PB doesn't half do his best to miss glorious chances, cows arse banjo spring to mind)

Yeah DG looked pretty comfortable, gotta take into consideration the opponents though, which reminds me, wtf was their keeper doing re Coopers goal, a triple toe loop?

I would definitely be playing a mixture of these in all the cups and 100% concentrate on Prem survival, where hopefully next year Jesses system has succeeded and been grasped by all.

Bate and Kenneh both better than Gyabi for me. Bate will probably replace Forshaw next season and Gyabi will go out on loan.

I'd like to see Perkins join an attack minded League One team on loan in January. Maybe Peterborough?

Can someone explain the divisional system here? Not sure why the 23's became the 21's. Did we drop down to a different division? 2 years ago we got promoted. Then we got relegated. Are we in the same division we were 2 years ago? Or did the whole structure change?

Still not clear. Where's the division we got relegated from last season?

I think it's a case that they rebranded it to U21s from U23s. Not sure why they changed the age cap, but for all intents and purposes what we are in and what we were in last year are simply the same leagues but with a U21 age cap*

*Obviously allowing for some over-age players for various reasons just as before.

Assuming then, if we win this league, we get promoted back to the division we were in last season? Which presumably has also been restructured to U21?

Precisely that. The upper PL2 DIV is also U21s.
