Jack's winner at Brentford in the 94th minute......
Sheer joy & instant relief with the very last kick of a football to ensure our PL safety.
Joffy's winner after great work from Raphinha in the 94th minute v Norwich.
Luke Ayling's goal & cartwheel at Wolves
Harrison's cracker to make it 0-3 at Watford
Joffy's run into the box & Rodrigo's equalising penalty in the last minute vs Wolves
Harrison hat-trick at West Ham.
Comeback at Villa.
Two goals in 24 seconds vs scum, manic scenes in the kop.
Watching Raphinha the best player I've seen at ER in a very long time.
The emergence of Joe Gelhardt whom we all knew was a future star in the making.

I enjoyed most of last season tbf, especially with the hindsight on eventual safety.

Re: Your Highs Of Our 2021/22 Season.
Even the “highs” that you’ve listed 64 are, in my opinion, all tempered by lessening circumstances:
Jack’s winner v Brentford was against a team playing with 9 men and only came after we’d allowed them a few half chances to score themselves.
Ayling’s winner, again, was against a team playing with 10 men. We did well to come back from behind but we were very second best in the 1st half against Wolves’ full compliment.
Ok a win’s a win but it took us till the 94th minute to scrape a win against Norwich who were, along with Watford, by far the worst teams in the league.
Lovely goal and a 3nil win was convincing but it was only against Watford (see above).
Rodrigo’s penalty was very welcome of course but it was only to achieve a draw.
The come back at Villa was impressive but even that was against a background of having been 1 goal up only to go 3-1 down in very quick order which was, in my opinion, really poor and it was only 1pt gained not 3.
The 2 goal comeback against Scum was on the face of it impressive but it was definitely against the run of play and it was no surprise that we lost heavily again in the end.
The win at West Ham was probably our best game of the season and, all in all, one of the very few that I actually enjoyed watching. A limited choice but that game for me would probably be the highlight.

Agree mate, I've made last season sound better than it was, it was truly an awful campaign littered with injuries & so many errors, lack of cohesion & confidence.Byebyegeegee wrote: ↑Wed Jun 29, 2022 1:07 pm Even the “highs” that you’ve listed 64 are, in my opinion, all tempered by lessening circumstances:

How many goals did we score on the break last season, which was a familiar pattern of our play in our previous three seasons
Thank god for individual moments from Raphinha, Harrison, Gelhardt, Ayling & even Rodrigo!
I just wanted the season to end back in January

The Joe Gelhardt goal against Norwich.
Even though i didn't see it as i left ER when Norwich equalized.
Jack Harrison's last gasp winner at Brentford.
I'm scratching my head now. Can't think of anything else, the season was rotten.

In a very low season (hence why I haven't bothered posting in the opposite thread), but has to be the absolute bedlam caused by all of our late goals (many of which were winners in added time). Talk about emotions and scenes.

The final few minutes dramas were special.

Re: Your Highs Of Our 2021/22 Season.
I can only add Joffy playing "in the park with your mates" football before crossing for Struijk's equaliser v Brighton. Those last minute goals/winners were wonderful but took years off me!! A season to forget for all sorts of reasons, let's hope lessons have been learned and what will undoubtedly be another tough season doesn't turn into another nightmare one.
