England v Pakistan

Post by The Subhuman »

Start of a new era for rock bottom test team England?

Bairstow with a stunning catch followed it with another in the slips to make it 2-2, Anderson bowling well has both and both openers back in the hutch

Some catch. Could of easily been distracted by the other slip.

but this is what Stuart Broad told the media earlier this week...

“Brendon has come into the bowling group and said ‘don’t focus too much on economy rates, I want wickets, let’s try to get as many wickets as we can, as quickly as possible.

"'Let’s have the mindset of where can I get an extra slip or short leg from, rather then being too defensive.’

Jack Leach withdrawn for concussion after hitting his head on the field while fielding. A like for like replacement is allowed. Liam Dawson maybe ...

Mitchell plays on and Potts gets wkt #2, too quick for Mitchell who was late, goes for 13 which is a Fibonacci number, just not in sequence

27-5

Good old Jimmy & Jonny.

Will be interesting to see how our openers will cope with the wicket when England bat.

39-6 at lunch

39 runs before lunch is very low, late LBW appeal went to the tape but turned down, very very close to out. Just whether the ball hit the pad or bat first, just not clear enough apparently, went with the umps decision
