He wanted to get on the beach so he sat on the turn. It is an unusual pose. North ledaig looking out on ardmucknish bay

Took the best apples and made apple rings in the dehydrator. Excellent for cutting up and putting in Muesli

pollock mackerel and gurnard . No high value species ,i scored some good stuff from the fish merchant in oban

Great eating fish especially pollack & mackerel.
Ireland one of the best sea bass fishing places in the UK.

I do much better at luce bay in Galloway ,no trawlers or dredgers due to the unexploded bombs littering the area.

Is that a fish smoker btw? Just noticed you said smokies so probably is.
I’ve got one but can’t get to grips with best smoking material/chips. Always seems to be over smoked to me. Any tips?

Its a Webber portable BBQ.
has vents x2 bottom and top ,open bottom vent next to fuel ,open top vent above fish at the other side so smoke goes horizontal and over fish .
Do not add wood above the coals or the fish until the coals are white or fish tastes awful ,i use gorse wood from the caravan sites .
They are lovely for breakfast with crusty bread .
