plus - Rodrigo's wonderful passing

minus - the error from Meslier

+ Mistake cost us the game

- We could have been playing until Easter and not scored. Midfield sadly lacking in depth again for me.

+ some good performances from Dallas, Klich, Ayling and Rodrigo, who played well in the first half especially.

- the switch in all forward departments after they scored, such as Raphinha and Harrison switching wings , which didn’t work and Rodrigo, Roberts and Joffy (to a point) all playing as centre-forwards at the same time.
We just seemed to hoof the ball up to them and hope for the best, which we don’t normally do.

Positive: we looked good up until the final ball, add that we we’ll score plenty
Negative: Roberts coming on he couldn’t pass, couldn’t head a ball

+ decent 1st half
- we didn’t score in the 1st half when we were playing well, the longer the game went on you could just see what was going to happen

Positives : We were probably the better team.

Negatives: Without a proper striker we will continue to create but not convert = losses !

+ We were the better team and deserved to win
- We lost, because we didn't convert our chances, no surprise as for most of the match we didn't have a striker on the park

+ve - we don't have to listen to any Bielsa boosterism for a few days - give him a contract to keep him at the club for life etc, or he's the second best manager in our history etc.

-ve - Bamford is pretty well out for the season, and unless Gelhardt and maybe Rodrigo can step up to the mark then we will have to get through the rest of the season without a centre forward.

Would agree with that. Our final ball was attrocious throughout the game. Our chances as such weren't clear cut, players having to snatch at them. We have seen this though several times, especially during the championship seasons, where we dominate against packed defences but fail to break them down due to our final ball. That for me is the main difference between us and Man Ciy. We play the same way but they have the likes of DeBruyne who can make the perfect pass to break down a stubborn defence. They will play the perfect pass 7 or 8 times out of 10 whereas we are more likely 2 or 3 times out of 10 so you get games like on Saturday where we don't score. Another day and we get the goal and it alters the opposition game plan and we score 2 or 3 - like against West Ham and Burnley.

Positive: Rodrigo getting a decent run out. If Bamford is out injured hopefully Rodrigo will tkae his chance and play like he did at the end of last season.

Negative: Losing to a relegation rival that didn't deserve to win and other results down there meaning we missed the opportunity to really pull away.
