There is not one thing I would want Leeds to learn from NUFC, they (and Man City) are stains on football.
No doubt there Mountain.

Howe was an average appointment & arguably Wood & Tripper are past their best.

Time will tell!

Less than a year older than Forshaw, Rodrigo, Cooper, Ayling, Dallas and was a regular for the team that won La Liga last season plus was named in the team of the season.

Trippier won't save them by himself but he would walk into our starting 11 and has more talent then any of our over 30s mentioned.

Radio says 20M, but like every transfer we never know the exact cost...

How old is Wood now?

Maybe they'll pocket the £25m with Cornet doing the honours up front.

Chris Wood has to have done the calculations and decided to take this and accept it will be the winding down of his career.
He’ll probably get a decent signing on payment, good wages and probably not less than a two year, possibly even three year, contract. His presence up front for the next four months may or may not be enough to keep them up. If so, then another bonus probably.
However, Newcastle will spend big time in the summer and there is a very good chance that Wood may not see any more first team playing time. He can collect his wages and put down the time until he joins some club in the Middle East or one back in New Zealand or Australia, and then put his feet up and enjoy the fruits of his labour.
Not a bad plan, as long as you understand it and accept it.

Can't blame Chris Wood and he may even weigh in with half a dozen goals, but value wise that's not close to the value of James who's best years are in front of him.

£2.5 million straight into his bank account before he even kicks a ball for the barcodes ;mbags:

Next we'll be reading how Wood always wanted to play for Newcastle.

I wouldn’t blame him at all! It’s as good a retirement plan as any of us have, and probably worth a lot more. He will contribute with a more attacking team around him but he has to know he’s not Newcastle’s future.

Time is on James’ side and he will develop much more as he goes.

Newcastle are reinforcing their front line with a strong piece of. If it doesn't go to plan and nuke drop a tier, I'm sure Wood could grab another 30 goals like he did for Leeds during his last season at ER.

I hope it works out for him and he scores goals for the Maggie. “Howay, man – you can do it!”

Not bad if you can get it ‘64!

Can you imagine Trippier considering Newcastle before he headed off to Spain😂! Now on the money map like Man City and PSG - nobodies before the money arrived.

Newcastle confirm the £25million signing of Chris Wood from Burnley.

Newcastle still pushing for a cb with Sevilla Cb Diego Carlos now understood to be their main target having been priced out of other targets.

Sevilla however are not keen on selling.

Arguably, but then again they both answer immediate issues we have.
No right PL rightback to speak of - Trippier sorts that.
No depth up front - Wood sorts that.
Poor set-piece delivery - Trippier again
Poor set piece conversion - Wood helps there
No variation in goal threat - Wood and Trippier.

And we're not done buying yet, by all accounts.

You were always going to make several signings in this & the next window.

I was at Newcastle when Wood nodded in a last minute equaliser for us in 2017.

Fish if wood doesn't work out do you think Eddie will let Blyth spartans have him for the rest of the season
Obviously terry will not play him if we draw the toon in the Northumberland senior cup
