Spain forward Ferran Torres has joined Barcelona from Citeh, signing a contract until June 2027 with a 1bn euro (£842m) buyout clause.
The 21-year-old forward returns to Spain in a £46.3m deal just 18 months after leaving Valencia to join City.

Wonderful cross from De Bruyne & a delightful Foden finish.
Re: Manchester City Thread - Cancelo robbed & injured.
Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo says he suffered cuts to the face after attempting to fight off a gang of robbers while with his family.

King Kev, best player in premiership, I said this a few years ago when a lot were saying Hazard, De Bruyne was, and still is better imho.

Not at all, very poor atmosphere though, and easy to get tickets, I thought west ham fans were very quite sunday did you ?
Then again, the amount of noise we create is second to non, both home & away.

Re: Manchester City Thread
All the 'emptyhad' stuff is silly. Man City at Maine Road always had a bedrock of around 30,000 fans. You don't go from that to 70,000 overnight no matter how successful you are. MU increased their capacity bit by bit to cope with increased demand rather than a big expansion equivalent to the stadium size incease City had when they moved stadium. City have always been more of the 'working man's club' and as such the core of their fanbase are not people who can afford season tickets.
If we went from our capacity straight to 70,000 we wouldn't fill it. Going up to 55,000 I doubt we will fill it for most matches, certainly in the short term. If we then got the point where we were filling it then hopefully there would still be the capacity (pun intended) to increase it further.

We also have to remember Manchester has two PL clubs in one city with several EFL clubs on the outskirts.weasel wrote: ↑Tue Jan 18, 2022 12:45 pm All the 'emptyhad' stuff is silly. The last time Leeds attracted 50,000+ fans in ER was back in the early 70s.
Leeds highest attendance was 57,896 (that figure is etched in my head) v Sunderland in 1967. I was there

More accusations against Man City.
Probably true we all know that but they have the power and money to bury it.

I think the Germans Spanish etc are soooooooooooooooooo jealous/angry now at the Premier leagues world tv dominance that they've got to keep digging and digging in whatever manner to try and somehow disrupt/try and destroy it.
They've no chance, Sky did a superb job selling it to the world, it's unstoppable.
It would have to implode and somehow stop itself. What goes up type of thing.
