Probably in the minority, but I'd get more excited about Cresswell making it than Gelhardt etc. Probably as he is a genuine academy product. Be good to have another one alongside KP and Shackleton.

He's definitely given MB something to think about this weekend against West Ham. However, being up against Antonio will be a different kettle of fish altogether. Cooper will have one of the CB positions for this weekend, and if it is true that Llorente is ready, then Llorente gets the other starting position. If not Llorente, we should expect MB sticks KP at the back again. Either way Cresswell will be on the bench for the Wet Spam game.

Can't see him playing against West Ham tbh. It's not the Bielsa way- he would rather shuffle 3 players around to make one change.
If Ayling and LLorente don't make it then I wouldn't be surprised to see Firpo at CB with Dallas and Shacks being the two FB with Cooper the other CB.

Oh how we miss Pascal too, :( the PL/FA are responsible for that absentee, I wonder who is next on their hitlist.

The only positive so far this season! Hope he keeps his place, even with Struijk back.

Cresswell was excellent today and at least we now have another able CB. Next week sees us have Struijk back, possibly Llorente, and with Cooper available I hope we can start putting our CB woes to bed. It's going to be hard to leave out Cresswell on the back of his last two performances, but expecting a Struijk Cooper partnership next week.

He got a few good headers in even in the short time he was on the pitch.
He will definitely make the senior squad in a few years time as long as he avoids serious injury.

Don't get how MB feels about Cresswell.

When it makes sense to use him (like now with Cooper out or indeed in the game where Cooper went off) MB doesn't use him.

But when Chelsea bring on one of the most prolific and powerful strikers of his generation Bielsa turns to Cresswell.

It seems very contradictory?

Also when it all kicked off at the end Cresswell was right in the middle pushing Rudiger away from Firpo.

Notice Rudiger picked on Llorente after, he didn't want none of Charlie :)

Big unit Charlie, can tell he has Captained at various levels.
