I was just going to post this on the 'What are you doing today' thread rich. Harrogate now 2 - 0 up. I've got so many happy memories of Harogate, I'm really rooting for them....

I went to the selection centre at Harrogate while at school to join the REME and got accepted, in the meantime I got a job and sometimes think how different things would have been had I joined up

It's a lovely place hector. I used to drive there often with Mum. We'd go shopping and then go to Betty's for a cuppa and a Yorkshire rascal :)

Feel for Notts County, as the league's former oldest club. I would like to see them back.
I'm not a robot.

Lovely day out is Harrogate, Betty's rosties are delicious too.

Had a great day with former regular MOT members Barryanorak, Revie-era (Rich) & his wife Sue(sadly no longer with us) plus Jill & I. Had delicious fish & chips for lunch then us music fanatics went browsing the charity shops & HMV for any CD bargains. Onward to the Royal Hall to see Harrogate's finest Wally in the evening.

Jill & I attended the Yorkshire Show, Jill has also done the Flower Show over there

I understand. I said to Mr Swan last night it's the league's founder club v little Harrogate Town. I too would like to see them back but my Yorkshire sentiments and roots, and lovely memories have swayed me to Harrigate Town.

Been working for much of the day Swannie, just sat down with a well earned cuppa to watch the last 25 minutes

Blimey Leeds United were mentioned by the commentators in the FA Cup Final & now in the National League Play-Off Final at Wembley, might be a omen as we walk up those famous steps & lift the FA Cup next season

With the close proximity I wonder if any of our youngsters might end up on loan there next season.

I find it very strange that this match, for a place in the EFL, gets played at the prime time Sunday afternoon yet the play-off final between Brentford and Fulham will be played on a Tuesday night 7.45pm kick off. Almost like they are just squeezing in the match as if it is just any old fixture not the so called richest game.

It was my dad's last posting. Clearly remember my years spent on the married patch as a young lad. :)
