You missed out on one of the great decades.

That's when albums use to sell tens of millions, I believe Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon sold 50 million worldwide.

There were many respected obscure bands/artists around too.

The 70s decade knocks the future decades into a pulp imo, even though I have bought albums from every year/decade since.

Get it nominated!

I had to pick Hemispheres for the guitar playing on La Villa Strangiato alone.

70s music totally formed my taste as a listener, but I think there's better music around now. Rock music in general has evolved and diversified, and has both a history and a wider range of influences to draw on. Virtuosity and novelty are no longer ends in themselves; it's harder to be really good now, and that raises the bar imo.

Don't see why you can't nominate and not vote, or nominate and vote for albums you know. We have had some just vote for one or two albums in the past and that way we get another album nominated

Apologies. Was going to get to this on the weekend but after the match didn't want to look at the forum 😕.

I'm better now and feeling a certain devil may care frame of mind so I'll nominate:

'Cruisin' by the Village People.

I loved YMCA as a kid and 8-year-old innocent that I was thought these lads looked tough and cool in their costumes on the cover 🤣. I also really enjoyed the track My Roommate for some reason.

Anyway love it or hate it, the record was a cultural milestone and has proved to be an enduring one.

I see the Blondie albums are in part 1, so Jerry Rafferty- City to City worth a mention.
