Aaron Ramsdale was relegated twice and transferred for £20+mil both times.
Danny Ward cost Leicester 12.5mil after 1 promotion season in the Championship and nothing else.
Gavin Bazanu cost Southampton £12m after a couple of seasons in League 1.
Meslier may be nothing special but hes only 23 with over 100 Premier league games to his name.
So on that basis he should atleast be getting £20mil.
Not a chance , if we get £5 million I would be amazed, big Sam took value off him by dropping him , he is a decent keeper and has to put up with having a terrible defence in front of him but £20-£30 million not happening, he isn't going to Chelsea because they have Milan's keeper pretty much signed up, so which other club is going to pay that brass for him?

So if Robles is out of the door, possibly back to Everton, does this mean we are keeping Meslier as No 1?
Doubt it if anyone offers something north of £20M, talk of £30M is well out for me.
Looks like we are looking for at least one new keeper. That said, with Robles still training at the club, once the new manager gets in there may be a change of heart.
meslier will definately leave , he will be among quite a few who will attract interest either from the premier league or from abroad , who the club can cash in on

A strange one isn't it?
Will stay or go?
AS others have said, we won't get north of £20 million for him, if that.
On Transfer market his value is showing at 20 million euros or £17 million
If we could get 25 for Adams and 20 for Meslier we would be sitting pretty with the funds to strengthen in the required areas.
Also having him and Darlow here creates complications
On the plus side, having two good keepers vying to be No1 is healthy for competition. Plus if one gets injured we are not hoping the under 23 keeper can step up. If we are to challenge for promotion then having two good keepers might end up paying dividends.
Not a hope in hell will he end up there. They need a much better and more experienced keeper than him. I'm not knocking Mes by the way, he does need to start and make much bigger strides in his development than of late but i also feel sorry for a young keeper having had to try and work behind the defence that we had last season.
He got abuse last season and some of it was certainly deserved but a lot of it was way over the top.
As a back up? He'd be ok. Most around the world speak of his ability at such a young age and great potential. Add into that a better organization with better coaching. Not adding credibility to the story. But I could see him being a decent back up for any big club.

Meh ive never really rated Meslier personally
Shot stopping is dodgy, distribution is erratic, can't command the box at all despite being a giant.
I have a theory that any goalie that comes after a dreadful one gets hyped 20% more than they should.
BPF after Wiedwald
Meslier after Casilla.
He's an OK young keeper but nothing more imo.
Think he'd get eaten alive playing for Real Madrid with the pressure anyway
