Another pacey winger to add to the squad.

Converted left back Liam McCarron has been sold to Stoke for an undisclosed fee.

Good luck to him.

We are now even selling our makeshift left backs.

Yet another U23 player not good enough for the Premier League.

Ridiculous to think, whilst the gooners were bringing on Smith-Rowe, Tavares & Soares on we were sending on a kid wet behind the ears in an attempt to rescue us from a heavy defeat

Good luck Liam

Bit of a difference between a club that has been in the top flight forever, winning leagues and doubles, and which regards not qualifying for the CL as failure, and one that was in the Championship or League 1 for most of 2 decades before Bielsa.

Not if you get your recruitment right, which was pretty non-existent last season.

I persoanlly think there will be many more that won't make to the 1st team for us, law of averages for most teams not just LU.
So many thousands are taken on by football clubs each year, all hoping beyond hope of making the big time, truth is, 95% of them won't cut it in the first 2 divisions.
We have some very promising U23's, note, very promising, again, out of say 20, only 3 will make the grade, and they may have to go elsewhere.

Another championship U23, I'm getting tired of saying this but if we were still in the Championship he'd be useful player to own. He was also being repositioned or duel positioned....

He's only dropped down one division so who knows what the future holds for him. He may not be considered good enough for the PL right now but a couple of seasons of regular Championship football and it could be the making of him.
It's a good move for him and I wish him luck.

Another one we've probably let leave for free. Think we paid £250k for him as well.

He wasn't one that really stood out to me. But after Huggins and Davis left he was the only youngster at left back. Hopefully we've got a good LB in the U-18's. Good luck Liam.

I'm curious about that. Has Marsch said anything? It seems to me that JM likes his full backs tall and stocky. Although we saw Davis play at center back a few times, so he's obviously good in the air despite his size.
