One things for certain, he'll never fit into the Bielsa formation.

Not sure yet if the 4 under Marsch is as key as it was under Bielsa in that Kalvin often switched to sweeper in game when needed
Yes, 8 is probably right. He doe s have the energy to be a good box to box midfielder, but that also entails scoring 6 or 7 a season, which is a hard trait to analyze since he has rarely had any run of starts, especially in this position.

Still plenty of time left in his career to become a regular starter if he can stay injury free for long enough.
Indeed, still young and has every chance to make it, especially if he can strengthen up a bit.

That's it, if the kid can bulk up a little, he may make it, look at mount at chelsea, Shacks has a lot of potential, up to him to take every chance he gets, if he gets them.

Let’s hope they’re able to support each other. Benefit from the experience of hopefully playing regular Championship football & come back ready to stake a claim for a first team squad place.

They don’t need to be starters, but with 5 subs like Rugby Union we’re now looking at a 16 a side game & that’s going to require good managerial tactics & a decent match day squad.

If he goes to millwall, he'll end up there permanently , hope that dosen't happen with CC.

Good luck Charlie & Jamie.

Millwall could go well in the Championship next season, only six points off the play-offs in 2021/22.

Did we forget about Shacks?

Started against Forest and did reasonably well. Adams might leave. Dallas (???). After Ampadu, Shackleton is our next most senior center mid. He had a reasonable season with Millwall. Plus he can fill in at right back. Probably worth keeping him around.

Prefer him at RB based on all his previous performances for us.

Has always been a tidy player but only rarely really standing out. I made the point elsewhere, possibly in the match thread, that Shackleton could be a very important player for us this season. Could be the one to keep things neat and tidy in midfield, controlling possession with Ampadu behind him and a box to box midfielder or 10 alongside him. We also know Jamie is capable of scoring a few goals too. With him being educated by Bielsa I feel he should be well equipped to play how Farke wants him to.

Definitely worth keeping around and as you say his versatility could be crucial in a long season. He is better suited to play our way than the Millwall way - ironically while he probably fared worse at Millwall than Cresswell did it may be that he is far more suited to our way of playing than CC is.

I agree with all, he's a good working versatile member of a Championship squad, and DF might find a use of his own for him.
Still being proven right years on.
Radz is a businessman - and knows nowt about football.
Orta is a fraud - and knows nowt about footballers.
Bert - A footballing mastermind that they both got lucky with, end of.

Timely member of a clique.

You mean like Bert did with KP i presume.

I'll be more than surprised if he can manage that which i v much doubt.

Would like to see him stay. At least until we make some signings. We have no experience or depth in midfield.
