Rodriguez passed away on the 9th August aged 81. I discovered his albums Cold Fact and Coming From Reality many years ago.
A Oscar-winning documentary “Searching for Sugar Man.” was shown, shinning a light on his career in music
Check out his albums, you won't be disappointed.

Almost unbelievable that the man and his music were unrecognised for years anywhere other than S Africa. Searching for Sugar Man blew my mind the first time I saw it, and those two albums are superb. I'm glad he got the recognition he merited before he passed.
RIP Sixto

Fond memories of TB on BRMB radio.
Jasper Carrott did a story about his 100% wrong predictions on the Saturday Butler phone in. All the Diversion 1 football teams used to listen at 2,55pm. If he predicted them to win they never bothered to get changed..
As you say, Hector was with Whitesnake when they were a top band, before they went a bit American hair metal and started remixing earlier versions of songs that didn’t need tampering with……….(although what do I know as it made DC a lot of money in the US)
Bernie is on one of the episodes of the Rockonteurs podcast…..which is worth a listen.

I think D.C was broke and needed a wider audience so he tapped into the LA hair metal scene and never looked back.
The reworked songs made him and Marsden very wealthy.
After that hair metal thing burned out it would have been great to see D.C reform the classic Whitesnake sound for a tour as the early stuff was far better.
