Jack Harrison

Post by Cjay »

Early again but need to write something positive for my own sanity :)

Besides he has been spotted with the club physio and being filmed presumably by LUTV so.

Highly rated young winger.

Played in all the City pre season games and did well by all accounts.

Signed from New York and immediately loaned out to Boro in January.

Hardly got a game but that probably says more about Pulis.

Bielsa is behind this apparently and personally spoke to Pep.

Received praise from his teammates in America including legends like David Villa and Andrea Pirlo.

Are we happy :)

Early days, so no idea how good he is. I've never heard a team mate call another team mate complete junk...and mean it. So not taking another players word for it

left or right winger?

Not heard of him before we were linked with him but does seem to be highly thought of. Easy enough to write off the Boro loan as Tony Pulis has his way of setting up a side and that is more practical than flambouyant. I would expect that we would need 4 wingers for the season as in Bielsa's system they have to do a lot of work and in tandem with the fullbacks would probably have to run more than the rest of the players so I would expect a fair bit of rotation with the wingers also dropping into full back (such as with Dallas) in some matches.

Quite like inverted wingers myself.

Thinking about it, with Douglas and Ayling inverted wingers are perfect.

By the way, Forshaw injured, Vierra going. Eunan O'Kane gets closer to starting

The forum? no, just 2/3 of us. You're kind of guaranteeing us top 6 here 64 by ditching the good players and bigging up the new...There's something in Fantasy Football we call RDS (Rookie Derangement Syndrome) The belief the new is always better than the old...ultimately despite the odd exception never true

Harrison will have to be extremely poor to be any worse than Alioski at the moment.

Back on topic.

There does seem some method to our signings.

Jack Harrison, Lewis Baker and Patrick Bamford all were at Boro last season.

So they know each other, trained together, maybe there friends.

There familiar so thats good.

Thought we needed a new winger, if Bielsa believes he is worth personally intervening then although i think he is wrong on Vieira i find that encouraging.

So you reckon those three along with Saiz, Dallas & Cooper have it in them to be half of a top six side ?
