Getting a guaranteed 20 goal a season striker in is a fantasy, if they are available then they're on massive wages, want CL football or want one of the big clubs here or in Europe.
I'm happy with our transfers this season, its a work in progress and has been since we were promoted and I doubt very much we'll be battling to avoid relegation like last season.
Bamford, Rodrigo, Joffy and this new fella, some would say we have a glut of strikers to choose from.
Anyhow, it is what it is, nothing we can do about it apart from get angry on forums

I too like the business we've done. Squad is looking more like a premier league squad. And we have a few options up front.

I thought Bamba Dieng looked like a good signing for us at a rather cheap price. But in the end I agree. We dodged a bullet. Showed awful character today. Not the kind of character we want in our squad. That will harm his marketability to clubs in future. Scouting reports will now read: Integrity: Zero. Dependability: Zero. And of course the failed medical won't help either.

That said, I too think we have dodged a bullet there. Him and/or his agent have acted without any degree of integrity and it would seem he ate all the in-flight snacks too!! Doesn't excuse the last day panicked scrambling from Orta & co, but I'm glad this didn't happen.
