The Times reported it as well, they are very reliable, more so than the Mail.
I don't know the details but it's common practice for clubs to take loans out to receive money in one go and then they use the expected money as a guarantee.
So Leicester have done it loads over the years to the tune of £200-300million from some Australian bank.
Our last accounts showed we owed over £100mil to various things and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Radz has done similar to what Leicester do given how much he talks about there model.
Ah ok. You had me scared for a second there.
Yeah you get the tv money at the end of the season, not the beginning, so most clubs take loans out and pay them back when the money comes in. I suspect the oil clubs, Liverpool and scum probably don't need to.

We had £140million owed within 12 months in our last accounts, presumably quite a chunk of that was a loan.
We also had another £70mil owed after 12months.
Leicester took out a loan based on Premier League payments 2,3 years in advance of receiving them.
Had they been relegated the bank would have received all parachute payments.
If we have done similar we are in huge trouble and it wouldn't surprise me if we had

Tbh they were going in Radz' back pocket anyway.
I know we loaned tv money from last season, I assume it's the same this year. If Radz has gambled for next year, then he has cocked up catastrophically. Worse than Ridsdale. And it's not like he can cover it himself.

Just seen on Swiss Ramble the blunts did the same thing.
Think quite a few teams who don't have generous owners have to do it tbf.
But I imagine relegation isn't good by any means.
Besides that according to last accounts the Blunts had about £85million in liabilities and we had £205million of which £140million was due within 12months
Marsch mentioned him before when asked of the player he was most proud of.
Jesse gave him his debut when Adams was still at school
He is a 23 year old holding midfielder who has played in many other roles and already has over 200 appearances to his name including being a semi regular for top 4 Bundesliga side Leipzig for a few years.
Oh he is a midget (5ft9) so fit in well

Burnley have conceded fewer goals than eleven teams in the PL, they are 9th in in the PL table defensively, a ridiculous 26 goals less than Leeds!
Also, Burnley have conceded only 19 goals in their 12 games v Citeh, Manure, Liverpool Spurs Chelsea & Arsenal earning three draws & one victory v the top 6. No calamity defending there.
Burnley's problem is they've struggled to score goals.
Pope has been superb.
Outside the top four, Taylor is the best left-back in the PL.
Tarkowski is a no nonsense CB who gets the job done, tough as old boots. He is out of contract so we could get him on the cheap, he can't be that bad as both Newcastle & West Ham are showing interest in him.
We should move quickly rather than taking on chancers from abroad, truth is we won't, we'll miss the boat as we generally do!
They'll struggle to hold onto Cornet too, their only attacking option worth consideration.

Ironically weren't Leeds in for Cornet prior to Burnley.....another Orta moment followed

100% correct 64. I'd swap our defence for theirs all day long !
Left back wise, Calvin Bassey at Rangers looked very good indeed in their Europa Cup final against Frankfurt. I suspect he’ll be a player on the radar of a number of PL clubs this summer………Villa given the Gerrard link ?

As a team BG, you have to defend efficiently, creating a solid base to build on, we can't go through another season of calamity defending, we must be high on the assist league for supplying the opposition with their goals. At times yesterday we were like schoolboys at the back, we need to be more assured with the ball & also tighten up considerably.
