Lifeline or prolonging the agony?
1-1 sees us out of the drop zone with a game to go. Is that a genuine lifeline or just prolonging the agony?
Burnley play Villa on Thursday and Newcastle next Sunday, they are currently a point behind.
Everton play Brentford this afternoon, Palace on Thursday and Arsenal next Sunday. They are currently a point ahead.

Try to stay alive for the next two minutes .... Hector will get that reference

Re: Lifeline or prolonging the agony?
Definitely a lifeline, with our goal difference that point is crucial.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.
Re: Lifeline or prolonging the agony?
A lifeline for sure as the yank would say. Think Burnley will go to Villa to frustrate like v Spurs today. Maybe they draw. They might struggle v Newcastle when the pressure is on. We go in to the last game equal. All to play for. Not over. Yet
Re: Lifeline or prolonging the agony?
A lifeline.
Without it with our goal difference id say we were definitely down.
May not be enough but its hope and if nothing else it should light a fire under the players if we are still in with a hope for Brentford.

Agony prolonged but where is love there is hope.
Burnley in a bit of a fix about what is the best approach to take in Thursday. go for the win and come away with nothing or grind out a draw an keep it in their own hands?
Greatest irony today as AT LAST I could see what Marsch was trying to do and though I don't particularly like we did deserve to get something from the game.

Marsch OUT
Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.
Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

A lifeline, better having it than not but much must go in our favour next week .
Still swinging.

Enlighten me. What was he trying to do. I say that as someone who didn't (dare) watch. Just seen the JG skill/goal and that’s it.William wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 3:34 pm Agony prolonged but where is love there is hope.

Definitely a lifeline.
Would rather have the point lead than the game in hand.
Whatever happens its going down to that last game.

Prolonging the agony. All I asked is for them not to give us any false hope.

Reacher's mantra. Stay alive for the next two minutes. Certainly comes up in Persuader and a few others...

Re: Lifeline or prolonging the agony?
Well that a long way through to be fair ... I've re-read Killing Floor/Persuader/The Enemy/Bad Luck and Trouble (which is the #1) recently, night School and a couple of others fairly recently
