Oh the Cure will win it. I don't like the Cure but even I'd give Seventeen Seconds a listen.

If we're reserving, I'll go for Gary Numan "Telekon".

Seventeen Seconds is a standout album imo. It has that sombre tone, but is minimalist and highly innovative. It's the only Cure album I regularly come back to.

Not a surprise to me; that first Sabbath album is an all time classic. Well deserved.

Thanks 64.

I didn’t expect that to win and tbh I prefer the follow up, Paranoid……..but both very good albums and Sabbath are one of my favourite bands. Although it all went a bit downhill after Sabotage, but H&H and MR with RJD are good. H&H a potential 1980 nomination :duno:

'Sabbath Bloody Sabbath' is my favourite BS album. Paranoid one of my fave singles of the 70s
