Good signing for them I feel, top manager.

Re: Nuno sacked!
He’s a good appointment by Spurs.
From Conte’s point of view this move is a no-brainer, joining a decent squad that’s underperforming. All he has to do is get a better tune out of them, move them up the league a bit and the fans will be happy. It not like they actually expect to win anything!
A better club will come knocking in 18 months time and he’ll be off (possibly Real Madrid when Ancelotti gets found out there).

Presume they had been in contact him for several weeks and were just waiting for a convenient time to sack Nuno.YorkshireTea wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 5:37 pm Antonio Conte was appointed today as spurs manager like I like how quick Tottenham were in appointing a new manager sacked Nuno yesterday and now today they appointed Conte very quick

Re: Nuno sacked and Conte announced as new Spurs Manager
I think people are very harsh on Nuno. What he did with Wolves was nothing short of excellent. Sadly for him he needed Kane to come back from the Euros and start scoring, which was unlikely to happen as he was likely exhausted (ala Kalvin).
Conte is a great manager and his first port of call will be to rape Serie A of a bunch of stars and knee-cap the league in the process. Serie A this year is uber competitive and testament to the strength of the National team. This will have shades of Wenger making Arsenal a largely French club and Paratici will be joyous surrounded by his countrymen once again. However, I don't think he can get them to finish in the top 6 this season. The January window will be expensive with Newcastle in there too.
Nuno is a good manager and this does nothing in my eyes to change it. This episode only strengthens my belief that Levy is a duplicitous cvnt.

I'll be moving this topic to the Spurs thread when this topic fades, folks.

Kane announcing he wants to stay at spurs now Conte is in charge
Re: Spurs Thread
How poor were Spurs last weekend?
Let's hope it takes Conte a few matches to get the best out of them. No doubt Kane & Son will turned it on for our visit on the 21st November
