So those who rate Roberts, what does he bring to the team?

Very frustrating, never looked like scoring. Not just his fault, but really don't want to see Roberts again tbh.

Similar to the game vs wolves just not anywhere near our best, need rodrigo and Philips back in. Roberts unfortunately for the lad isn't good enough at this level I would rather give one of the lads from the academy a go.

Not sure we can talk after that ..whatever it was from Llorente, I hope MB has a word.

Cooper didn’t ball watch, he was marking his own man, it was Costa

Oh god.

Today was a real opportunity, maybe to many injuries, maybe we just arent consistent?

Tbf to Villa Smith was sensible playing Nakamba over Barkley, made them more solid.

I'm genuinely interested to know. Lazy, can't score, losses possession.

They were very well organised but imo probably our worst performance of the season...onward and hopefully upwards !!

Commentary claiming it was Costa not tracking his man?

It's a bl**dy insult that Roberts is selected ahead of Pablo

Strange how we all see the game & players differently. I thought Roberts did well and apart from not scoring with a very good chance he produced some good moments and he does possess a good turn of speed. It's a bit harsh on him to make out he's useless.

Credit to Villa, they made us look pretty uninspiring. There's something about them that I hate. I suppose every team cheats but I seem to notice theirs more than most.
Petty points, but what happened to the substitute going off the field at the nearest point? Why do they constantly allow the goalie 2 or 3 times over his 6 seconds? Standing less than 10 yards away from the incident, how does the referee not see Tarrget manhandle and pull over Bamford at that last corner? On the half-way line that would probably have been a yellow card for Tarrget.
Everton, Wolves, Villa, Arsenal, Brighton.....poor results and performances.

When is MB going to stop trying to turn Pascal Struijk into the reverse Javi Martinez?

The lad isnt technically good enough to play dm, he lacks the positional sense, the control, it doesnt work.

Which proves how poor we were going forward, we didn't exactly make Martinez work for his money, even his defenders took the goal kicks for him as he was carrying an injury.

One shot from Roberts straight at their keeper says it all.

You should see Twitter!

Roberts did ok, frustrating at times, he isn't the answer but no one thinks he is. He's all we have at the moment though. Likewise Alioski. We need to strengthen, we know that.
