Trust me :)
Yes, fair play in the end won convincingly enough.......surprised by quite how much, as some other crackers in 1979.

But it is a fantastic album and no.1 in my list

I don't anticipate so many votes for my nomination in 1989 though :)

It's a cracker Cat & although I realise some on here are not keen on The Clash I knew there were plenty of votes in the bag for LC. There must have been at least four sets of the top votes from our players whom nominated another album.

Glad I let you have first pick for London Calling as I know it is your favourite album

I have the Soul II Soul album, I need to listen to all the albums before deciding voting on my top 5

LC would have been my choice. One of the greatest (if not THE greatest) albums ever made, for me.

If it's the band then try Repeater from 90...Blueprint is one of my favourite peices ever
The album. Not sure which one I've heard before, but it wasn't 13 songs. Probably something you mentioned on here.

Durly wrote: Thu Nov 12, 2020 5:29 pm A lot of strong contenders for me:
Cure - Disintegration
Pixies - Doolittle
Nirvana - Bleach
as well as other great albums by De La Soul, Bob Mould, Wedding Present, New Model Army, Swans, Lemonheads etc etc........

However, I'm going for:

Beastie Boys - Paul's Boutique
Might have to go for Thunder And Consolation if no one else chooses it.

Also thinking of Einstürzende Neubaten, Neil Young, Nine Inch Nails, RHCP, Blue Nile...

No, f**k it, it's got to be NMA, I've played that album to death. I was living in a van when it came out, so it has some great memories.

Living in a van? Some of our friends used to that for years ..

Yes, an old V Dub before they became expensive... it was just a rusty old van then. Totally impractical.
