1st Single... Donna Summer, Loves unkind. God knows why, but it still sits there with my punk, new wave, rock and metal singles..🤦‍♂️🙄
1st album... Quo - Live. For me the finest live album out. Raw, unrefined and heavy..👌👍

I have several singles that fit into the 'what was I thinking' category including Mirror Mirror by Dollar and Landslide by Olivia Newton John!
No idea to this day what possessed me to buy them.

My first single, bought as a thirteen year old, was 'Hole In My Shoe', Traffic, 1967...seems I fit in!
Welcome Dave, you're probably in the top 5 or 6 eldest though :)

Memory getting extremely hazy here, but:

Single: I Wanna Hold Your Hand - The Beatles.

Album: The Nice or Led Zep I (both bought around the same time with wages from my first part time job.)
Delapsus Resurgam - When I fall I shall rise!

45 - David Bowie ‘The Jean Genie’

33 - (if you discount those rehash Pickwick Top of the Pops albums, with a Page3esque model on the sleeve) then it was probably ABBA ‘Greatest Hits’ - the one with a gatefold sleeve and the two couples sat on a bench

Can't remember the first single but it would have been six shillings and eight pence from upstairs at Wakey 'Boots' after I'd listened to it in one of their booths.
First LP 'Barry Ryan'

First single ‘Marching on Together’ early 70’s.
I think it made the top twenty. It was definitely on Top of the Pops!
