Pablo... ....not what you all thought huh ... ... Given our current situation with injuries, and being a little unsettled,...Watching Pablo in the Leicester game, he did work into the game, his shot that hit the bar was a thing of magic, not an instant reaction, he set it up and placed it exactly
where he wanted it (ok 2 inches to high!)... but it was watching his body language and reaction to being substituted that really got me thinking... He has something he wants to prove, and I think he is determined to do it ... I really hope Bielsa starts him against Palace...He is ready to play a full time role, let the magician do it...
Very poor 1st half by Pablo’s standards (the whole team’s standards), but 2nd half we came out like a different side and were dominating the game with Pablo nicely into his stride. Then as soon as he was taken off that impetus was immediately lost and we reverted back to playing like we did in the 1st half.
Not having a go at Bielsa here (I’m never going to do that) but I would like to know what his thinking was behind that substitution.
My belief is that MB was thinking of Pablo's hamstrings . The pitch was very heavy due to all the rain and it would've taken its toll on him. We all know Pablo's injury problems especially his hammys so I think MB didn't want to risk him any longer with the thought of Palace in the back of his mind as well.
Not convinced Pablo will get much game time this season, I'm sure he is thinking the same. That will have been why he was so frustrated to be subbed off.
He's not in our ideal starting 11 any more. Deserves to have a shot at game time in the PL but needs to show his worth. Think he will be limited by his fitness at 35. Shame he isn't 5 years younger. PL game time or not, will always be a Leeds legend for me.

Agree he should start at Palace.
Agree mate has to be one game at a time... but I think he has the fire knowing it could be his last year.

And that makes me feel that his impact could be much greater as a late sub. With fire in his belly, he could put some excellent 30 minute shifts in to change up the game when needed.

Exactly what my thinking was upto the last week or two, or no doubt will get back to that... but if feels he can put together 4 or 5 games then go back on the bench awhile ...let him try is my vote... he is still the magician mate ...
He is nearing the end of his career, he wants to play as much as possible while he still can and he wasnt able to make the impact he would have wanted (although much improved 2nd half)
Dont see it as an issue that he was angry.
He cares a lot and lets be honest, no Pablo we probably wouldn't have been promoted.
He has given more than anyone in Bielsa's time here imo and he was just angry he wasnt ableto play on to try and help.
Same time i think MB took him off to protect him, we know Pablo is always a wrong move away from another injury now and he needs protecting.
I dont think MB took Pablo off because he truly believed Roberts would make more of an impact, just think he felt Pablo had done his time best take him off now.
Hope he starts vs Palace.
Would love to see Raph and Poveda either side of him for a change.
