Sterland?
What ever became of Mel Sterland?
Is he still the highest scoring defender at Leeds?
Never hear anything about him.

Seen him on a couple of the documentaries. Love hearing him talk. He's got great passion for his Leeds days. True LUFC legend

Lovely bloke, great player. Need to watch some of his highlights we get my mind off Douglas after tonight.
Re: Sterland?
Smashing player - very instrumental in our 1992 title win.
Don't remember what happened to him.
He got quite fat and there was an autobiography.

Fat?
Loved his attitude as a player. Rand his socks off and had a cracking right foot. Scored a couple of screamers. Outside the documentaries, not heard anything else of him lately.

Thanks everyone for the replies...
I remember big Jack saying Sterland was the highest scoring defender (he was the penalty taker so that helped)
Not sure what the record is?

Know fondly as Zico!
Sound bloke and a great player for the club, wore his heart on his sleeve.

He is one of those people seem to forget about . Astute buy from Wilko though . Remember him and Dorigo tearing down the flanks around 92 .

Sorry mate, I've written five answers down and deleted them because they give gallows humour a whole new meaning.
i honestly don't know with that lad, we've seen what he's capable of but the time for that was the last two seasons. We need players to rely on like Mel himself.
