Ah! So Brighton don't have 3 like they said they have.

So a maximum of 5 players. Germany had 10 from around double the testing (presumably their 2nd division were tested at the same time). So it looks like a similar ratio.
I heard 3 were from Watford, but not confirmed

The London/southern clubs in the bottom half of the prem are doing the best to pull the wool over everyone's eyes in an effort to cancel the season, it does make you wonder if some footballers have been adhering to the lockdown rules

I'm not surprised the way the carefree younger folk go about their lives in these surreal times, social distancing seems to be non-existent with many in that part of the UK. Londoners need to take a leaf out the communities in the big cities such as Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, etc

Jeez you're kidding right? London around ten mill, Leeds around half a million ..yeah that's the same. Probably most stuck in flats or properties with no more than a handkerchief for a garden...

Far harder to have avoided the virus initially in London where the majority of workers are crammed into offices, often several companies in the same building, same air con, people crammed onto the tube, far more visitors from abroad etc etc. Hardly surprising that the likes of London and New York were hit hard.

Mariappa confrimed as the Watford player to have the virus. Great article in which he states he has hardly left the house and has absolutely no symptons and shows again how footballers returning to work actually makes it safer for players and their families as his family can now all get tested whereas if Mariappa hadn't have returned to training he wouldn't have been tested and him and all his family and friends and their families and friends etc would all have been at far higher risk of catching it. As it is now he can self isolate and not risk passing it on and so can anyone in his social circle that might have it.

Indeed. NYC and London are probably the two most cosmopolitan cities in the world. Combine that with the high population density and the lack of an authoritarian government, and the results, alas, are predictable.

2 more found after the new round of testing with Coronavirus in the premiership, 1 a Bournemouth player. However not revealed whether the 2 new cases have caught it since the previous testing as clubs were allowed 50 tests rather than the 40 initially done so it might for example have been a fringe player who wasn't tested first time around. It brings the total up to 8 of which 2 have been players and 3 staff out of those confirmed by clubs.

In the championship testing just 2 tests have come back positive. Both from the same club but no confirmation yet as to which club or whether it was players or staff.

Certainly a far lower amount than I would have expected.

HULL CITY have confirmed that two individuals have tested positive for coronavirus.

Interesting that so far they haven't announced whether it is players or staff. Bet their chairman was hoping for more!

So the only team with positive tests in the Championship are the same team that has sent 2 letters to the EFL begging to have the season voided and are plummeting towards relegation since selling there best players in January? :duno:

Strange how the majority of the Covid 19 cases are affecting teams at the bottom of the premiership & championship
