Delines 'The Imperial

Durand Jones & The Indications 'American Love Call'
Lee Scatch Perry 'Rainford'

Sorry didn't like any of those.

Thom Yorke, didn't go anywhere, bit self indulgent for my likes.
The Delines- does nothing for me either
Durrand Jones- thought I'd been gone back to 1973, bit Stylistics meets Robert Cray.

The more I listen to the Delines the more I like Jenny Lewis' On The Line...It's just a better Alt Country album..Try Heads Gonna Roll

BF was in the ok category, guitar a bit of a 90's sound but fitted well.

You love Karen Carpenter's voice but not the clarity of Amy Boone's vocals  the slide guitar on both their albums is gorgeous

No problem mate, I'm not enamoured with the majority of the nominations so far!

We all have different tastes :)

Not one average/poor/bad review for 'Colfax' or 'The Imperial' on Amazon, all mainly 5 star.

In fact you'll find it difficult to read a poor review on any online music site

Pretty sure MOT folk could diminish their credibility ;-)

Rock
Steve Hackett - At the Edge of Light
Dream theatre - Distance over Time

Folk
The Rails - Cancel the Sun
This is giving the Imperial a run for it's money...... '64 will like this

Live
Peter Gabriel - Growing up live

Soundtrack
Rocketman

Still waiting for the Peaky Blinders soundtrack to head my way though...

Thanks Hector I'll give it a few listens as with all the nominated albums

Did you give the Delines debut album 'Colfax' a listen? I think it is better than 'The Imperial'

Any chance I could change a couple of my nominations?
