Boro taking legal action against Derby for breach of ffp rules. It will be interesting to see if anything comes from this as we could then be in line for the same, if they get any compensation.

It's time someone took a stand. It is shady that Derby where allowed to get away with this in the first place and I can't believe the efl have nothing in place in the ffp rules about owners selling club assets between different business enterprises they control. Could radrizanni sign the stadium over to leeds then buy it back in a few years for twice it's value if we get ourselves in trouble?

The unfortunate aspect of this is that Derby beat leeds in the playoffs and beat middlesbrough to the playoffs so it will be seen by most as sour grapes.

Sour grapes or not...if they have contravened rules then they should be massively made to pay one way or another. Leeds were fined for not breaking any rules at all.

Am I correct in thinking that if they hadn't done this bit of inventive accounting, they would have been liable to a points deduction for breaching ffp?

They'll probably get promoted then get the meaningless deduction.

It may look like sour grapes, but this sort of thing will continue to happen, giving teams the ability to overspend and gain an advantage if it's not cracked down on.

If Boro win then we could sue for lose of revenue, as we would have been affected too. It's £5m in gate receipts for the loser at Wembley, that would help massively for ffp.
