Official TOMA (Take Over My Arse) thread

Post by Crude »

Well seems the internets rumors are bubbling up on high tonight. MLSE are rumored to have bought the club for £38 million. MLSE=Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, owner of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, among other entities. Could be bollox, with just hearsay so far. Not sure if this is what some others on here have alluded too?

Bates Out!?!?!

Take Over My Arse?

Haven't they been on the verge of taking us over before?

We'll they been in other takeover rumors, so who knows if this is legit or not. Not holding my breath, but this seems a bit more realistic than sheikhs and limos driving around ER.

There'll be plenty of Sheikhs and Limos when Bates knocks ER down and turns it into a luxury hotel

Kicked back by Ken last summer I've heard H.

However something IS bubbling under at our club...either an aggressive take over bid, or serious investment. And no - that is not "info" from wacko or twitter.
Don't hold your breath tho. Bates will screw it up.

I did warn you all we were skint back in January, there is no money in the coffers for us to invest into the squad unless we sell our better players & clear all the deadwood first !

The East Stand build went way over-budget

Season Tickets/Membership sales are well down. Expect attendances of 20k or under & possibly as low as 15k for evening games next season especially if we start sluggishly & under-perform during the first few months of the new season

Maybe the reasons why Ken could be willing to sell to a potential buyer

Just out of interest, how could this possibly happen given your Colin is God and will really deliver in his first full season manifesto ? At what points total will we liquidate in 12/13?

ah of course...actually the Music Forum is quite vibrant now just as ours appears to be stagnating a bit.
