Hardly a strange decision. More money and much closer to home. Doesn't matter if he fails as the contract will get paid even if he is sacked. He was lucky to get the Boro job, seemed to be doing a decent job and then gets chance to jump ship for a better deal when his stock is at its highest. If he'd stayed at Boro and they fell away then he isn't getting a contract like the one he likely got at Wolves.
