Good point, these games are what will determine if we stay up or not.

5.30 kick-offs are a bad idea. Even if you don't have a beer till half time, you're half cut by 8.30.

Funny how scoring goals was always going to be the problem, 8 in a week against some of the best sides in the league and now scored more than palace, Sunderland and Everton, only 3 less than villa - it’s the 29 weve let in that’s the problem - largely thanks to the pipe and slippers at half time.

Ifs, buts and maybes.
The reality is Guds turned it over cheaply and we were punished by a quality cross and a good finish.
Rodon for the first.
Individual defensive errors in both cases. Nothing to do with anyone else, the manager, formation etc
I get hope from how we responded to the adversity. On and off the pitch… and in the stands. Everyone stood up when it mattered.

Not exactly racist, but I agree there is no need to try and evoke hatred and come out with lazy stereotypes. I thought cats were more chilled.

Difficult conditions though hard to control the ball on a greasy pitch, quite a few players struggled with their first touch.Pullhard wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 8:21 pm Ifs, buts and maybes.

Of course
Its the song. “Always look on the bright side of life”.
When they’re nailed to a cross. Go on watch it.
Actually some brilliant comedy in Life of Brian.
Especially the search of the small house by 200 Centurions. Reminiscent of our policing.

I note that Bournemouth have done worse than Leeds over the past 6 games, despite having only faced Villa & City from the big 6.
Re: Leeds United V Liverpool Match Thread
They are not out of the woods, semenyo has a release clause and there is a good chance someone will pay it in the winter window. It won’t be us though, pretty certain it is more than £ 14.99. Tongue in cheek comment.Carrick Dave wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 8:28 pm I note that Bournemouth have done worse than Leeds over the past 6 games, despite having only faced Villa & City from the big 6.

Remember how the moaning minny's got out the sackcloth and ashes at the thought of being thumped by City, Chelsea, and Liverpool. The self flagellation with a lead tipped whip that would put a Jesuit priest to shame.
It didn't happen, and all that self mortification was for nought.
Rubbing hands in glee that as a consequence of the impending drubbings Farke would be sacked in the morning.
He is still here, how galling, defying the odds... that is the most satisfying thing ever... perhaps even sweeter than a draw with Liverpool.

Can't remember if I was a moaning Minnie or not, but I wouldn't have been surprised to have seen us with nul points from those three Sean, so I'm delighted that your current satisfaction levels have known no equal.Sean_Nile wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 8:34 pm Remember how the moaning minny's got out the sackcloth and ashes at the thought of being thumped by City, Chelsea, and Liverpool. Don't think anyone would deny this week could easily have seen him sacked.
Fair play in the end he reacted and got enough in the end to keep his job.
I would imagine most "moaning Minnie's" just wanted some sign of flexibility, an ability to change a game, to stop being so stubborn with his subs and style.
All fair criticisms.
This week with his job most definitely on the line he showed some.
Which when you think about it isn't a surprise, he had to get Points this week.
Funny that a neccessary outcome can focus someone.
But he managed it in the end, so credit where it's due.
Hopefully he can keep it up for our sake.

Four points in two games against Chelsea & Liverpool, yeah - it's a surprise.Cjay wrote: ↑Sat Dec 06, 2025 8:46 pm The guy was under immense pressure.

Not just a surprise but an incredible outcome, so tell it like it is cjay, Farke had the goods on Maresca and Slot thanks to a team that's playing for him and the fanbase.
None of this damning with faint praise nonsense.
