It wasn't even close for me, Joe.

Rodon made nearly twice as many very good actions as Aaronson did.

I agree, it was Brenden's best game for Leeds.

Just rewatched the game and stand by my initial reactions. Aaronson MOTM for, maybe, his best performance in a Leeds shirt. Rodon was excellent and they both scored but Aaronson was the spark for the win..

Fans would go for an attacking player as they remember his magical run & shot that hit the bar, forgetting all Rodon's dirty work at the back, which is often missed by the majority of fans.

I counteract those figures with Rodon's numbers. who in my opinion is our best player this season.

Most notable actions 25 in all
6 x defensive headers
4 x passes
4 x tackles
3 x defensive clearances
3 x interceptions
2 x blocks
2 x runs
1 v goal

Joe has certainly made the steep rise of the Premier League level, unlike the majority of our championship stars.

Wasn't happy with how deep Rodon dropped for the goal we conceded as it meant we were all over the place defensively. That lack of concentration cost him my MOTM award.

Ampadu should have followed their midfielder Fernandes.

Ethan's positioning has been slightly off in our last couple of games, he is our defensive midfielder!

Yes agreed but what on earth was Rodon doing dropping so deep ?

Tanaka started fairly deep so wondering if that was an attempt to let Ethan get up the pitch more (which he did with those runs) . Tanaka was our best centre mid but only because Aaronson is supposed to be the winger..

The Aaronson yesterday was the most Lee Bowyer like performance yet.

Totally agree on Brenden.

I thought Tanaka & Bogle were both average, hence I rated them both 6/10.

I don't know!

I'm not keen on defenders marking space, or fresh air as I call it.

Agree 100% but it’s unfair to say that almost 2/3rds of Leeds fans are wrong and couldn’t see how good Joe was. I’m not a fan of stats & notable actions after a game and prefer to vote on what I see during a game and Brenden sneaked it for me.

We all see games differently. Depends what you look for.

I'm not interested in players running miles, they all do that from the prem to lg 2. No interest in completed passes if those passes are sideways and back and safe. As Boycott would say my granny could do those. I give points for creativity, quality/clever passing, good defence (not just heading a ball out when that's a basic skill) reading of the game, movement (not something that would come up in your good/bad action report and Aaronson did that very well Friday). Goals and assists and also vision.

Points off for going missing for a time, errors, fouls, yellows, missed chances (especially missed passes) not making runs, yellows and reds. Plus a few other things on both the plus and minus side.

And I score in game not after when the memory has faded a bit and the final score influences votes

I never rate passes sideways & backwards.

Agree on the other aspects of the game, a comprehensive rating system.

Which is why Bijol got scored badly, 3 fouls, clumsy challenges, did nothing when on the ball, some poor passing and a 2/3 errors (imo).. I don't think he's a left sided defender and I think that will become more apparent when we play better teams. He got a point for a couple of easy headers out and the interception where he was closest to the ball anyway

Fair point. Think it’s the fact that it came from Brendan of all players and the fact that he didn’t trigger another board meltdown over indecision in key moments.

Rodon was epic, though. He’s having a tremendous season. And maybe that’s it…not as significant of a contrast from other performances. Both he and Gudmondsson are the first names on the team sheet for me.

No Aaronson and we probably lose that game and I've been a critic of Brenden's ..Still wouldn't start him on the right though when James/Gnonto are ready to go... But as a centre mid I'm ok with him starting.
