Darlow - 6 (only partial blame for first goal, but second not his fault)
Bogle - 7 (another energizer bunny performance)
Gudmundsson - 6.5 (one big error, but so much work rate…can’t fault too hard)
Ampadu - 7 (standard outing from our captain)
Rodon - 8.5 (agree with Leon, MOTM)
Struijk - 6 (unlucky with the deflections, but he was being consistently caught out today while his offensive contributions on set pieces were lacking)
Aaronson - 7 (another high work rate performance, edged higher as I attribute the goal partially being born from his strong shot)
Stach - 5.5 (quietest starter on the pitch today. Does he need a rest?)
DCL - 6 (got into so many dangerous positions, how did he not come away with 1-2 goals?)
Longstaff - 6.5 (decent workman-like performance, would’ve been glorious if that late strike went in)
Okafor - 7.5

Tanaka - 6
Harrison - 6
Nmecha - 5
Piroe - 5.5

We are 7 games into the season with an international break during that period and another one just started.

Players do not need a rest, Stach wasn’t at his best, but this is mostly down to the opposition closing down the space, rather than just suggested fatigue.

Similarly the often quoted error by Gud concerns the his attempt to control a bouncing ball, which was coming over his left shoulder. He was wary of Kudus pace and tried to deal with the first bounce contact, which if I remember came off his thigh. Thus allowing Kudus to steal it from him. Perhaps his decision making in how he attempted to control the ball considering the conditions, is perhaps debatable. But these things happen - It was just unfortunate that the one player on the pitch you would prefer not to capitalise on the situation, did so.

Was merely a suggestion re: Stach as he was quieter than usual. Fair point re: Spurts’ closing down of space around him.

I was close to including Gudmondsson in my MOM ratings, but felt people would wonder what I was thinking re: the error. So took off half a point. Agree was likely down to being more unlucky, but that’s the way the ball bounces. Think he’s my player of the season at the moment.
