Antony has joined Real Betis on loan.

Has a claim to being the worst Premier League signing ever.

£100mil for 12 goals and 5 assists.

Makes Grealish and his 16 goals and 22 assists look prolific.

Every year the gap grows wider, Not as hard for Brentford and Brighton. Forest had it tougher, about the same as our first season back but it’s got much harder since

Former Premier League ref David Coote has come out as gay.

Not a shock.

I heard them mention this on the CL programme last night. 77 million was it?? Which presumably means they can say no to Arsenal re Watkins. Some good players at Villa.

Amorim has played a blinder.

At every opportunity he's deflected blame onto the players and the poor recent history.

He's taken the focus off the fact plenty of managers come in mid season and have an immediate impact (David Moyes for one and Glasner who beat him today).

And he's only won 3 of 13 Premier League games and lost 7.

But the Manure fanbase is focused on the players and not his poor tactics and stubbornness in trying to fit a squad that doesn't work into his style and his unwillingness or inability to adapt to the players he has.

The truth is that he has plenty of good players. I imagine dozens of managers would love to have that squad at their disposal.

Any new manager coming in would have figured out the Rashford issue better than Amorin has. Would have probably lit a spark and got him fired up at least for the a couple of months.

Seems to me that Manure have spent shed loads of money and brought in some very talented footballers and assembled them over and over for donkeys years. However what they have paid scant attention to is the need to gather guys that can be formulated into any sort of cohesive team and players that can park their egos and not put self before team. Which, of course, is precisely what their entitled fans deserve :roflmao:

I think from a pr perspective he's played it perfectly.

He's thrown Rashford under the bus, given the fans someone to be angry at.

Lowered expectations in the media whenever he can.

Used the history to his advantage

And nobody even mentions that he's doing worse than Ten Hag when he got sacked.

Having watched quite a few of their games recently I'd say he's still the right man for the job but whether the gets the 3 seasons required to turn things fully around is quite another matter.

Certainly fun watching them struggle though :)

Amorim didnt walk into the United job without knowing exactly what was ahead of him. He hasnt got the players in that squad to play anywhere near the way he wants to. He is having to make do until the season ends, watch a lot of these players go out the door at OT at the end of this season. Even next season it may take time for them to gel until he has the right squad there.

I suspect he's going all out to win the Europa League. It would make sense, as the league is over, and there's a potential Champions League spot with it.

A mate of mine is desperately trying to find odds on Martin O’Neil to be next Spurs manager. Heard him on Talksport saying he’s always wanted to work with Daniel Levy. Trying to jump in to Posty’s shoes.

He’ll have to request that one JD, at the moment Thomas Frank is the favourite according to Oddschecker.

Incidentally, Jesse Marsch is 33/1 🤣 🤣 🤣
