Apart from Tyzy, Piroe receiving higher marks than Rothwell.

I'll be watching closely on my rewatch, I thought JR was very lively,

Soloman & James excellent once again.

His punch out was really poor, Oxford almost scored from it, they should have capitalised on his weak punch.

In fairness he was stretched to get something on the ball in the melee. Sometimes that is the best you can do to prevent a flick on which can go anywhere in the box, often in the lap of luck as to where the ball drops and who to.
He got something on it to get it out of the main danger area. I think there is a case of being over critical towards Mes, simply because the pile on is a never ending narrative. They didn’t score, if he hadn’t got something on the ball we will never know the outcome.

Therefore I give him credit for getting for his fisted half clearance, could he have got a better connection, possibly. But it matters not as nothing came of it.

Our defenders should be dealing with those crosses, Meslier was never going to get a clean fist on the ball from his positioning & in that crowded area.

And there lies another problem, as a team we are not that good in the air, as Oxford had a free-header at the other end, and similarly at Preston when we were 1-0 down.

You're right, if we don't win the initial header, the ball could fly anywhere & lead to a goal opportunity.

I'd interested to know what Barlow, Jammy & John thought about that situation, like me, Barlow is stood directly behind Meslier.
