Shocking defending for the goal conceded.

3 Leeds players standing literally next to each other as the ball is played into our box and only Firpo of the three moves back to defend. Rothwell & Piroe just stand around outside the box and do nothing. Farke seems to have alluded to this in his post match presser.

Farke to blame for me as Joseph should have started so we could have played longer ball in behind and actually have given their centre halves some defending to do.

Very average performance which got what it deserved.

We play the fewest long balls per game in the league.

We also play the fewest through balls per game and have the lowest cross to pass ratio in the league (we hardly ever do it basically).

Joseph starting makes no difference it isn't how DF wants to play.

His Norwich team was the exact same in those metrics, it's a gameplan.

Joseph starting gives us more options on what type of ball to play and if our players choose never to take the longer ball option then they are poor decision makers regardless of what the managers preferences are.

Also very little point in bringing Joseph on with 10 mins to go as he needs to work the defenders for much longer periods than that to make a difference.

The buck stops with Farke so tonight is on him.

Just saying.

How we play is dictated by DF.

We don't cross often, we hardly go long ever or in behind.

Same last season.

The players follow his instructions.

I know I'm in the minority incidentally but I don't see what Piroe did wrong today? He came the closest we did to scoring, he linked play well as well as setting up 2 shooting chances for others tonight.

He made more passes into the final 3rd than Gnonto, Aaronson, James and Rothwell which says a lot really.

Not sure what else he could have done given how rare he saw the ball and how non existent the supply was.

Farke is on record as not judging games solely on results, but on performances and chances created also. He can’t be happy tonight then.

Joseph and Bamford were on the pitch for about 15 minutes each.

4 touches.

2 in our box between them.

How can a team losing only manage to get 2 strikers 4 touches between them in 15 minutes.

No creativity or urgency

Azeez who came on up front a minute or two before for Millwall had 10 touches by himself

I do wonder if our players are brain-dead at times. Struijk, Bogle & Firpo all guilty of clumsy challenges giving Wall the opportunity to bombard crosses into box, to their giants.

Also, why did Meslier kick the ball long, after we had been playing the ball out with our short passing, the ball was always come back to us. Struijk gave the free-kick away, then stood there like a stooge when it was his job to defend the second ball. How he can throw is arms up in frustration after stood like a statue, like our frontman Piroe often does.

Farke is obsessed with Piroe, apart from Plymouth who were dreadful, we've looked toothless upfront against Watford, Bristol City & Millwall with him playing as our No.9, there is precious little movement, energy, pressing & the ball is not being held up. What did we get from him last night, a powder-puff long range shot & then the lazy lump got caught offside for the best chance we created.

I'd have played Byram last night, he is a much better defender than Bogle, he was required as he is very good in the air, often winning several defensive headers when he is called to duty.

Come on Farke, time to make the right decisions!

All Piroe does is come short and then short again again again. Yes he sometimes lays a nice ball off to the sides but we're so easy to defend against without a striker up top and looking to get in behind. Easiest day their centre halves will ever have as he offers very little threat when outside the box which is where he spends the vast majority of his time.

As I said though last night it's on Farke as we were slow and predictable in all our attacks in a game that went exactly as many predicted it would. We could play that game again 10 times and we'd lose most of them, or at best draw 0-0 but yet we have the superior players in our squad.

A crazy pointless situation having the best squad if we can't deal with playing against a team that would be more suited to rugby union/league.

He needs to stop playing his favourites, especially those under-performing.
