The player, his agent, possibly friends and family, anyone/anything he may have mentioned it to, Graham Smyth.

Just added the last name for comic effect.
I thought the answer was a porcupine but it turned out to be Old Trafford....

I guess if a new employer offered you a better job you'd be ok with your existing employer refusing to let you leave?

Bit disappointed we seemingly aren't/cant/won't tap into the Red Bull scouting network.

Given we have this apparently elite recruitment department now signings and targets are all a bit obvious.

Rodon, Bogle, Cairns, Rothwell.

Rowe, Rak-Sayki, random teenagers from Liverpool.

You'd think Red Bull have dozens of players in the database for a fraction of the cost abroad we could look at given its what they do.

Anyway French media reporting Marseille and Norwich are at a stalemate with the price for Rowe with Norwich remaining firm on the £15mil valuation.

CJAY how do you know that we aren’t/can’t/won’t tap into the RB scouting network.

Just because we haven’t signed anyone from the network does not mean the club are not looking? Let’s judge the window when it closes, any comments about what is going on behind the scenes is purely speculation - on the basis that we are not privy to what is going on.

Has your ITK source suggested this, if so you haven’t mentioned your source.

Leeds are sure to be working hard behind the scenes to find the right signings for Farke to compete at the top end of the table, and there could hopefully be progress this week.

A lot of what Leeds do might hinge on the plans for other clubs and their fringe players, particularly in the Premier League.

Starting a week later than the Championship, Leeds will have irons in the fire that could be waiting for the green light from top-flight clubs who are yet to solidify their plans for the new season.

A midfielder such as Charlie Patino being left out of Arsenal’s pre-season tour, or Andy Irving looking surplus to requirements at West Ham after a brilliant Austrian Bundesliga spell only to have his squad number taken by new signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Two mere examples, but proof that viable options in certain positions might be waiting for their current clubs to sanction moves, and with the new Premier League season kicking off this weekend, exit approval might not be far away for possible options for Leeds.

I don't know, but I think we can safely assume the signings we made weren't on it.

And probably not people like Rowe either.

It seems to me and maybe I'm wrong, but it looks to me they are taking the same attitude to signings as they took to managers.

Safe, obvious players.

Nothing wrong with that if you can 1 afford them and 2 sign them.

I'm fine with waiting but it's no excuse this season what ever happens.

We're not a red bull club...they just have a minor equity share + only own a couple of other clubs (and we've picked up enough crap from RB salzburg for a while already)

So it's only about Rowe everyday something which i don't like at all. So many problems but still trying to get a replacement for Summerville. After last season i would love a new GK as i don't rate Meslier at all but nothing happened.
I would love to get rid of Firpo but instead we bought a similar player Bogle good going forward but now nothing about defending .
No surprise as he played all games in a team that conceded more than 100 goals in the Premier League.
My opinion is that our biggest promblem is in midfield and i see no improvement at all. Gruev is very average Ambadu's best position is as a CD and don't expect miracles from Rothwell
Starting to worry a lot about our chances and having doubts about Farke .

Ah well the thing is that my kind of employment would not contain any terms related to a Transfer Free between two parties. In the instance of Rowe there needs to be an agreement - offer and acceptance - between the current and prospective employer completely separate to what Rowe might want none of which should be a surprise to Rowe. Some players realise this and have a Transfer Fee break clause inserted in their contract before they sign.............

Which is about what I said it was, around 100M in and 15 out so far this off season. IMO. Yes I know it'll be in installments but we can buy in installments too.

Rowe update from Foot Mercato Journalist:

❗️Monaco added Jonathan Rowe while adding to their list of options

🗣 Discussions have already taken place with its representatives

⚠️ ASM must first sell/loan a player from outside the EU before being able to move forward more concretely on this file

💰 Norwich want at least €15m

🔵 ⚪️ OM has made an official offer but will not overpay. Deal blocked for the moment.

▶️ Leeds have also positioned themselves

Haven't been linked yet but given our very obvious criteria for signings seems only a matter of time

How about Morgan Whittaker.
Also talented Manure youngster Hannibal Mejbri has handed in a transfer request having grown frustrated at the lack of opportunity at Manure.

A technically gifted combative midfielder he could be ideal.

Unsuccessful loan spell at Sevilla last season (old Vic signed him) he could still be a very decent signing at this level.

£5-7mil Apparently they want for him.

Had a successful loan at Birmingham few seasons ago, 1 goal 5 assists

Linked to Stoke winger Million Manhoef
Obviously we can only shop in England when we have limited funds as DF tells us every week.

Only signed for Stoke in January so expensive, upwards of £10mil

They signed him for £3.5mil

Clearly looking for players adapted to English conditions to avoid the settling in period. Now though, does seem to be, a good time to buy for the future as we have a top 2 starting 11 plus just enough cover everywhere to last for a few months. So adding upside overseas players to the bench would see a decent move..

Unless we still have more players going.
