Remember Crawley Town knocking out our Premier League team out of the FA Cup.
The Sussex side gained promotion to League One after beating Crewe 2-0 in front of 33,000 fans at Wembley yesterday.

Three non-league close to you, I think. Aldershot, Dorking & Woking all in that area if my geography is correct.

He was the one involved in the Klich and Adams shithousery last season so Leeds could secure the tie. One of my favorite moments from last season’s debacle.

Re: European/World/International Football
Birmingham have spent more on transfers in League 1 than 22 of 24 Championship teams.
They have broken the League 1 transfer record twice.
And have 3 of the top 10 all time record transfers for a League 1 club.
They've spent around £11mil so far with 0 incoming and are expected to make numerous more signings in the coming weeks.

Think I will select a League One team to follow this season to “tune in” to what’s going on there.
Would like an underdog with a bit of character
Any recommendations?

Following extensive research and deep analysis, I am a fully fledged Wycombe supporter for the season.
First game is away to the Hollywood glamour boys in Wrexham on Aug 10th

Wycombe has a delightful dinky stadium surrounded by the beautiful countryside.
You asked for character, Pullhard.
Re: League One & Two Thread
I follow Bradford and Barrow a bit.
My wife is from Barrow that’s why I reckon.
When my dad stopped taking me to Leeds in ‘82 I bought a season ticket for Bradford with my paper round money for three seasons - my dad wouldn’t let me go to Leeds by myself until I was 16 in case of violence and hooliganism
Is soon as I was sixteen I bought my first season ticket for Leeds.
Ps, I love it when we beat Bradford though.

Please don’t answer if it’s personal Finn, but why did your dad stop taking you in ‘82 ?Finnatic wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 7:39 pm I follow Bradford and Barrow a bit.

He stopped going regularly in ‘78 when his mate stopped going but I pestered him to take me so we managed two or three games a season until I bought my own season ticket.
Re: League One & Two Thread
I'll go for Lincoln City managed by Michael Skubala, the Imps just missed out on the play-offs finishing 7th out of 24 last season. Sincil Bank has a capacity of about a 1000 more than Wycombe's stadium.
Ironically, Lincoln play Harrogate Town in a friendly match on Saturday.
The Imps kicked off their season at Burton Albion on August 10th
Lincoln is steeped in history with it's stunning cathedral that overlooks the city, you can see it from miles away when lit up at nighttime
Come on the Imps
Re: League One & Two Thread
So we have:
League One
Wycombe Wanderers (Pullhard)
Crawley Town (Sub/Faaip)
Lincoln City (64)
League Two
Barrow/Bradford City (Finn)
Anybody welcome to join in.

Must admit, I do sometimes think to myself what the hell am I doing when I renew my season ticket and go out in the freezing cold to watch a load of blokes kick a ball about.
In truth though, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Re: League One & Two Thread
I'm sure I must have mentioned on here previously the fact I used to live in Lincoln (from 1974 to 1982) and my Dad still lives up there..... so the Super Imps have always been my 'second' team and all through school I used to go down to Sincil Bank.1964white wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 7:59 pm I'll go for Lincoln City managed by Michael Skubala, the Imps just missed out on the play-offs finishing 7th out of 24 last season. The mid/late 70's were heady days for Lincoln, especially when Graham Taylor was manager and in '76 they won Div 4 with a record points haul (when it was 2pts for a win) and, I think, the most wins in a season. Of course in '77 GT was tempted off to Watford by Elton John.
I haven't been back to Sincil Bank since the early 80's and the last time I saw Lincoln play was in the Div3 Play Off Final in 2003 (which was down here in the Millennium Stadium). They were battered 5-2 by Bournemouth
