I was giving him 2, 1 for each half for turning up, then I realised he had his boots on the wrong feet, flaming dreadful refereeing.
How far behind play were he and the linesmen, how many penalties / offsides did they c**k up, we only get s**t refs.

I think it is becasue this is Velo's thread and we're all getting behind him. Most of us would bend over backwards to help him.

4 for the ref, consistently poor rather than biased i felt - not helped by the linesmen.

Strange performance really, I'm guessing he's a lower League referee and it showed. Needs to watch the game back and learn from it.

Bit generous and could have easily gone lower but trying not to have white coloured spectacles on.

He's a Championship Ref, shows how low the standard has dropped IMHO

First post (after introducing myself). I agree with others that at the beginning, the ref was very poor and perhaps a bit biased in favor of keeping the match tight for as long as possible. Thankfully no one got hurt from the ref’s lack of a whistle for that large period.

I’d rate him 2.5 until we scored the second goal and then a 6.5 for the remainder. What does that mean overall? How does a 4 sound?

2 He didn’t have a clue. If we’d played that game at ER with VAR & he was the ref, the match wouldn’t have finished until teatime due to the number of review stoppages.
