I'd like to see the defence continue to meld so no changes there please. Also play the DMF pair

Sinisterra needs 90 minutes, Joffy and Greenwood in giving the three musketeers a break (Aaronson, Harrison, and Rodrigo)

Hopefully this is a long thread not done and dusted after a 2/3 games

First half

Barnsley pressure from the off, early FK, Meslier deals with then a shot on goal saved by Meslier, third attack and a shot wide
Greenwood misses his target Drameh, on the right 8m
Summerville gets his first cross in, just misses Sinisterra . Leeds settling down last few minutes and 10m gone
Good work from Klich, Drameh to Sinisterra, keeper deals

Anderson a bit of a thorn defensively, killed 2/3 of our attacks so far

Drameh beats his man, ball across and Gelhardt fouled... Klich recovers and sets us going again with excellent vision
Corner from Barnsley and their best player ((Anderson) gets in to head home, left unmarked but probably down to the change in defensive partnership and Meslier flatfooted

Second Half

Koch and Struijk on, Cooper and Llorente off... another new defensive partnership in Hjelde and Koch, Struijk plays left back
Summerville again cuts in onto his left and drives it across the goal face
Forshaw gives it away and Barnsley attack. Struijk tidies up
Klich Gelhardt and then lovely work from Sinisterra sets up Klich for his second

Some nice work from Summerville in the box, and Gelhardt nice chip into the box
Excellent press from Summerville wins the ball fouled but nothing given
More lovely football from Summerville bursting into the box, then Forshaw and Gelhardt combine to cause problems
Rodrigo for Joffy and James for Greenwood 75m
Almost stunning ball Struijk to Rodrigo, a touch heavy by very little
Good defending from James
Summerville baffles his marker with great footwork, needed to be fouled
Roca across the pen box low, good run Rodrigo and shot goes over
Another good last ditch sliding tackle from a Barnsley defender
Roca drives from 35/40 ... just skims over the crossbar, Roca getting better by the game
Great defensive reading from Drameh after a small error lets Barnsley in
Late chance for Barnsley but heads wide... Summerville down with cramp


Full Time, Leeds into round 3 at a canter, very impressive considering all the changes. Klich MOTM but Summerville real close and we got to see how dangerous Sinisterra is gonna be very soon

Robles - 8 - Very impressed, great hands, excellent positioning
Ayling - 7 - Worked hard but struggling to recall anything really good
Firpo - 8. - Kept Traore quite most of the game. Excellent and clever passer and one lovely cross into the box
Gyabi - 8.5 - Got beat once badly but very impressive otherwise. His passing forward is sublime
Llorente - 7.5 - His best gane of the season
Hjelde - 9 - Looks qualty both on and off the ball... Cooper must be looking over his shoulder a worried man
Harrison - 8 - A threat most of the evening, still better on the left though
Klich - 7 - Started well but faded, looked a bit off the pace late
Perkins - 8.5 - A lot of quality and what a first touch, quick feet and a quicker mind, unlucky not to score
Gelhardt - 7.5 - Played well but off too early with the injury unfortunately
Joseph - 8 - Good debut performance, a little hesitant at times but he'll grow nicely with more game time

Greenwood - 6 - Quiet I thought and lost possession for the goal.
Gnonto - 7 - Nothing fell his way really, probably not on long enough.
