Meslier 6
Hard to rate. Nothing wrong and no stand out moments either. Good to see him more confident than he'd been at Villa.

Kristenssen 9
Showed his ability today against one of the PL's top wingers. One monster block in the box. I was calling for Ayling a couple of weeks ago. Rasmus has proved himself now

Koch 8
Steady and reliable as ever. Rarely looks in trouble. Just wish he had the voice of Cooper.

Cooper 6
A couple of slip ups. But for the most part we didn't defend too badly

Struijk 7
Great to see him get the goal. Solid defensively. But time we had a LB playing at LB.

Adams 8
Terrific combative performance. Very effective in controlling 1st half

Roca 7
Very commanding first half. We had complete control of the midfield.

Aaronson 7
Great to see him excelling again after a couple of quiet games. Brilliant work for the goal. He was our best attacking player and baffled as to why he came off

Rodrigo 5
A few nice passes and great hustle pressing the keeper. But mostly quiet and unable to make an impact

Harrison 4
Another invisible performance to follow last week. We need to free him up more down the left flank. Fluffed the couple of crosses he made

Bamford 6
Showed all the right moves as a focal point in attack. Still rusty, but a positive 60 minutes. A sharper Bamford would have made it 2-0

subs

Summerville 5
A couple of pomising moments but unable to make an impact

Klich 4
Jesse's familiar Plan B has become a non-factor in recent games

Gelhardt 5
Created one chance for himself - more than Rodrigo did all game.

Ayling N/A
Made sense for him to relieve Rasmus after the booking, but nothing to note

When only half the team show the right aptitude, we are not going to win PL football matches.

Meslier 6: not much to criticise, might have been better positioned for their first but that’s being harsh I suppose.
Kristensen 6.5: had a battle royal with Zaha and that’s a tough gig, but lost out eventually.
Koch 7: our best defender on the day.
Cooper 4: an agricultural performance from our League One, Championship (at best) centre back.
Struijk 6: decent enough start and an extra point for the goal, but like the rest of the team went backwards in the 2nd half.
Adams 7: excellent start unfortunately not sustained.
Roca 5: again a decent start but faded into nothing.
Aaronson 7.5 MOTM: a great start to the game and created the high point of the whole match with a mesmerising run to assist the goal. Like the rest of the team faded badly in the 2nd half.
Harrison 5: tries to do too much then loses the ball and when he occasionally is able to put in a cross, it’s aimless.
Rodrigo 3: even when we were on top he was anonymous, I’m not sure of the question but this guy is not the answer.
Bamford 3: nothing stuck with Bamford today the ball just bounced out of his control on lots of occasions and when he did have a golden chance, he blew it due to being too one footed.

Subs:
Klich 4: didn’t improve things if anything the opposite was the case.
Summerville 4: no impact at all, perhaps he needs to spend more time beefing himself up rather than braiding his hair.
Gelhardt n/a not on long enough
Ayling n/a ditto

Amended Kristensen’s score on reflection. He did put in a good few blocks. And the fact that Zaha was left in a acres of space regularly in the 2nd half was more down to our narrow style of play than Kristensen’s lack of covering.

Meslier 5: Nothing to do other than pick the ball out of his net.
Kristensen 7: Decent half kept Palace and Zaha quite was he at fault for the goal? Both him and Coops were wrong side of their men by the time that ball arrived in the box. Koch new the ball was beyond him so i can't really point the finger at him. Poor goal to concede.
Koch 6: Steady enough. I have trouble recalling Koch's work in a game but considering the players he has around him that can only be a good thing.
Cooper 5: He did give away that silly freekick but there was still time to redeem themselves at the back and they failed.
Struijk 7: Played well FH and scored the goal. Some good neat footwork to drag the ball back and beat his man.
Adams 7: Ran into trouble a few times but good for the most part. Played the little ball thru to Bambam who fluffed his lines.
Roca 4: Another poor half from Roca for me. He's gone back to looking half a yard off it again.
Aaronson 8: The only player that ever looked likely fh. He deserved that wonder goal for his endeavor. How dare the post deny him....
Rodrigo 3: Not good enough to play that position. He just doesn't influence the game enough for a player of his stature.
Harrison 6: Jack worked hard and got involved much more than last week. Still nowhere near his best. He needs to be having more shots for me.
Bamford 4: He needs more games to get back upto speed. Should have toe poked that shot with his right boot.

Our attacking options in the main let us down once again looking at the scores on the board.

About right. Especially baffling that our best attacking player on the day got subbed.

And our best defender, I suspect Zaha was glad to see the back of Rasmas.

Jesse's substitutions were weird & ineffective.
